They’re watching you!
Meet the CatBats! Sól, Pip and Máni (again). As well as their individual portraits they’ve now participated in two ensemble cast pieces. The first was inspired by those bathroom signs, where a cat looks out at you and makes sure you know they’re watching you pee, and judging your performance.
The client’s brief: should look like an enamel pub sign.
Idea: what do the cats like doing in the bathroom? Máni looooves the tap. Can’t get enough of it. Pip is slightly obsessed with the laundry basket, and Sól just likes to peek round the corner and look at you from the corner of her eye.
In the end, this is the final design I came up with for these three CatBats:
The client took the design to an enamel sign maker. I talked to them a little bit to make sure the design was helpful for them and made a few imperceptible changes. And here it is in place in the client’s bathroom (shiny!):
